ITT specialises in the provision of IRIS tube testing services, within Australia as well as crack testing of Rollers, shafts and Gears for international clients.
Boiler Economiser tubes have not traditionally been subject to testing. ITT has formulated a method (in conjunction with its sugar mill clients) to apply IRIS examination to economiser tubes. Special probe assemblies and test procedures are required to successfully examine the full length of tubes in boiler furnace sidewall and screen wall.
ITT has successfully carried out detailed tube examination using the IRIS technique on all these tube configurations. ITT provides IRIS testing of boiler convection banks tubes. ITT offers in conjunction with its Canadian associate, RFT crawler inspection systems for the examination of boiler furnace wall tubes.
